I believe that there's far too many humans on the planet (There's over 7 billion of us now) and I wish that 6 billion of us would die so the human population would only be 1 billion or a bit over 1 billion because it would do the Earth and it's animals alot of good if that many of us passed on. IIN?
I don't think our presence or damage to this planet automatically means that the majority of us should die. I think it means we need to develop more responsible breeding and environmental habits.
We ARE animals!
We happen to be the dominant species after 200,000 years of struggling. We've evolved the skill to not only adapt to our surroundings, but adapt our surroundings to us!
We developed intricate and varied language to question, to learn, to teach and express emotions.
We have formed complex social structures to serve the needs of the majority.
We developed systems of trade.
We developed art, music and dance.
We developed codes of morality and ethics as tools to protect and expand our civilisations.
We developed scientific method, medicine and engineering.
And we did this naturally, because we are a product of nature.
We are AMAZING creatures and are an example of just how successful an animal can be. It's only because of the aforementioned codes of morality and ethics that you, OP, care about the rest of Earth and other animals. It's something distinctly human that you feel vicariously guilty for the negative actions of other people towards this planet. It's something distinctly human that makes us strive to change our and other people's behaviour to improve our relationship with the environment upon which we rely.
Your view is very immature and underdeveloped. You don't consider the complexities, you just think a massacre of the majority of the worldwide population would be some kind of solution. Thank goodness you're not in any position of power or authority with such a backward view.
If IIN is anything to go by, a lot of people seem to think the same way. If you all got together in a suicide cult and killed yourselves you'd probably take out a noticeable chunk of the world's population. You could probably get at least a million people together. I know it's hardly 6 billion, but it's pretty good right? If a million people dead is "good", anyway. You should go and do that.

You realize that the only reason why we are protecting wildlife is to sustain ourselves? We're not "destroying" the environment, we are just making it more hostile towards humans. For all Mother Nature cares, it's just a new phase. It has gone through phases before like the dinosaur extinction, the precambrian explosion, etc. The core of environmentalism is to ensure the survival and success of mankind while leaving as little impact as possible. If you're trying to protect the environment yet you hate humans, you are basically saying "I choose to be a soldier for the USA yet I hate the USA".
How true...loving the earth but hating the humans, the eugenecists are insane and there are some on this site who would want others killed so they could survive.
