Is it normal that i wish i was rich?

I am a working-class 22 year old. My father is an alcoholic who I barely know, and my mom is a former addict. I wish I was born with a silver-spoon in my mouth instead. Those people would never know what struggling to make a living feels like.

In America, it’s normal to dream of being rich, because our economic system is so rigged against everyone who isn’t, that we think no matter how hard we work, we can never get ahead. Billionaires who pay no taxes are flying into space just for laughs while people are getting evicted because of a pandemic.

Its quite normal for people to want to be in a better situation in life - and for most people finances is the most common 1st item on the list.

Be advised that a lot of studies have shown that the children of the rich rarely do well in life on their own as most never learned to struggle and achieve as a child. So there is a value in starting out learning how to work and earn money on your own - as a necessity.

Im gonna be rich one way or another. And I'm glad I wasnt born rich. I wear the working class label on my sleeve 😂

But honestly I'd probably not appreciate life and money near as much. Since I grew up poor now that I make decent money it feels like I'm in heaven and you could take it all away and I know I'd still be fine. Imagine taking a silver spoon persons house air conditioning from them. Theyd have a heart attack. I didnt have AC for 5 years.
