    There are places in the Amazon where the influence of humans is imperceptible - where loggers have yet to fell.

    That thick, humid air is probably some of the least polluted by humanity you'll find within inhabitable terrain on Earth. And the fruit and veg will be untarnished by man, the water will be filtered through dense rainforest...

    Of course, for most of us, trying to survive in what is truly the wilderness would be hell. Diseases, predators, parasites, poison...

    But if you reckon it's a wonderful alternative to the world we've carved for ourselves, you n your wife could make a hut around here:

      Actually been there, the Amazon. Not really a jungle person as I found out in 65/66, SE Asia.
      I've found my little piece of paradise; I'm content. Hopefully we'll have citizenship next year.
