Is it normal that i want to meet my friend's boyfriend alone?

My friend (female but most of you would know that) has been dating someone from another school and she asked me a few times if i wanted to me him. I eventually gave in and said "Fine...but why me?" and she responds to me by "Because you're one of my most closest friends..." (I don't remember exactly remember what she said but its somewhat close) "Ok then... thanks...but when and where?" I questioned. "(movie theater name) Batman v Superman 6:30" she said "deal"

From then on I kept imagining my self alone with her bf just us both staring at each other like something off an old western movie. why do i think this?
