Is it normal that i want to know how it feels to die?

I don't think I'm suicidal or anything! I just thought bleeding out and falling asleep forever seems like something I would like?

  • I know it’s an inevitability, but I just hope it’s not too painful.

  • As a child, I had problems with my Brain, and I would stop breathing sometimes, and once I just didn't start again for quite sometime, and my heart was on the verge of stopping. The hospital managed to keep me alive, and it felt horrible is all I remember. I believe that would be how it feels to die, and I didn't like it.

  • This makes me think of the futility of religion. People sacrificed their whole lives for a belief, and when they died they simply ceased existing like the ant they stepped on and gave no further thought to.

  • it's normal to have feelings like this

  • Hanging, crashing, od, fighting. Happened a few times. Both attempted suicide and homicide at times in life. Felt and thought very little at all during.

This is certainly not normal behaviour in the first place, so I’m not a good example to draw any comparisons from.

    • Unless you die before you can even notice it, like being headshotted by a sniper.

Yeah but most peoples last thoughts before dying would probably be "this is probably it"

      • the chances of surviving a non-professional headshot or long-range headshot are approximately 1/2n where n is the amount of headshots. you tend to die of blood getting into the brain. a headshot is not a fast death, actually.

        • Depends where in the head. Hitting the brain stem is essentially being decapitated. Doesnt that depend on the caliber as well? I mean a 9mm headshot is more survivable than being shot in the head by a diska round.

          • that is what I meant. only about 1/2n shots are fatal, due to inaccuracy of range/unprofessionality.
also, I suppose the Antimateriél calibres such as DShK and .50 BMG are rather hard to survive. Not to mention proper shells. I was talking about a range of about 22LR to 45 Auto/38 special.

            • So when I say headshotted by a sniper I dont mean some bloke walks up to you and headshots you with a glock.

I'm saying you are enjoying a nice coffee and a sniper shoots a rifle round into your brain matter which will probably redmist whomever is next to you.

I imagine that would be a painless death. Anything that kills the brains sensation of anything is a painless death.
