Is it normal that i want to harm people in awful ways?

I sometimes get these urges to smash a person's head off a wall until I hear a crunch as their nose breaks. I desire to physically harm people (sometimes friends) until they scream and beg for mercy. I want to make them cry and sob in fear. I'm afraid there's something wrong with me. I don't see myself acting on these desires, but it's hard to hold myself back. IIN?

Is It Normal?

  • Anger, even rage is normal...but it usually is not there all the time....if it is its a sign of problems...I have some of that ....for me it comes from child abuse and having a strong sex drive and being frustrated because I dont have a girlfriend and then when I talk to girls they fucking disrespect me....

But rage is not healthy....it can turn you into a sadist...sicko....find a therapist and talk out your feelings...it doesnt fix everything but it helps...

  • I like fantasizing about beating the shit out of slutty girls. I have never fought anyone and i would never pick a fight, i would only enter combat if i was hit first

  • Maybe get anger management. What helps me is to lash out and scream and let out all my anger and hatred on a pillow or a punching bag.

  • It does not matter how bad your thoughts are. Just remember to keep it under wraps and never act on them. I had horrible thoughts since I was a child but I am the most behaved/respectful person one might ever meet.

  • I think the anger comes from losing my parents and having no family to really turn to when things get rough. It might come from my low self esteem.

    • Yes, thats good insight because not having a loving support system when young makes us feel vulnerable, insecure and unloved ...people can even feel threatening to us and remind us of that pain
