I feel the same way about my mom's cat. I always feel like beating the living shit out of it. I will pet it for a while and she likes it a lot then she'll be completely mean to me. I might try to get her to come to me after I've petted her and she will run away. It makes me so mad I just want to beat it up and I LOVE! LOVE!! LOVEE!!!! cats! I've loved every cat I've ever petted except for this cat I hate it, and I'm completely against animal abuse but I just hate it and if animal abuse wasn't illegal I would of killed my mom's cat already.
