Smart, hard work over time = whatever life you want. But if it was easy, no one would settle for being miserable.
I agree that you would be a much more free man that way. But there is just something about returning to what we were evolved to do best. I respect independent entrepreneurs and people who take control of their own situation. But you are still in a fairly fake environment. And you also still rely on bureaucracy to some extend
