"Only" - well I agree but the baby part is easier than the 20 plus year dependency commitment when you are already in your 40s and aging. That's why the clock is ticking.
Being a senior when dealing with a teenager and ever retiring when your kid's just going to college ($$$) are pretty serious realities. Everyone gets old and he needs to think how much longer he has for all the parenting from A to Z.
