I'm 18 now, and I'm my mom's only child, her daughter. She had me when she was only 16 and I don't know my dad. Anyway, I've always slept in the same bed with mom, ever since I can remember. When I was 12, we started getting intimate in bed. Mom was only 28 then, and I practically started having much greater feelings for her. When my friends were into doing other things, I liked coming home to her. I've never had another relationship and I can't imagine being without her. I'm about to graduate high school, but we're inseparable. A couple of my friends asked why I didn't like doing some things with them. I told them that my mom is my girlfriend. They now think that I'm some sort of a freak. I can't imagine living without her.

    You are not a freak, you are normal. Your mother has been grooming you. This is part of the abuse. Even if she isn't forcing you, it shouldn't be happening between a parent and their child. Please take care of yourself.

    Basically, she took advantage of you at a young age and groomed you into who you are now. This selfishly satisfies her need for companionship/sex, because she practically raised her own girlfriend.

    You'll probably snap out of this when you're a bit older and meet someone you truly like; because since she started this with you at 12, you couldn't really discover your sexual/etc preferences yet. So eventually, while working/college/whatever, you'll meet some guy or girl that you'll like a lot, and then you'll have to dump your mom.

    Overall, ignorance is bliss. What you're doing is weird, and what your mom did is considered statutory rape, but you're 18 now, so carry on.

      You shouldn't have any other relationship with your Mother other than as a Parent and Child.
      What do you mean by intimate?
      You are being taken advantage of and even though you think it's okay because of a smaller age gap, it's not. Even in normal relationships you should feel freedom to be with friends.
