Is it normal that i thought the bee gees were a bunch of black women

When I was younger, before I had seen a picture of the Bee Gees, I just assumed they were a bunch of black women and not white dudes. When I saw the music video for Staying Alive for the first time, I was completely mindblown over the fact that they're manly-looking dudes. Has anyone been in the same situation or is it just me?

    I thought the same when I was young. I was sure people were putting me on. This was when the internet was young so it wasn't as easy to just look stuff up as it is now so I think it went on several days before someone dug up a CD case with their pictures on it lol. Totally normal, they certainly don't sound the way they actually look.

    I'm amused that some people thought this, but then I was familiar with the Bee Gees in their pre-disco period. Difficult to imagine anyone thinking that the vocalist for Massachusetts was a woman.

    I thought that too! I actually thought Diana Ross was in the Beegees and it was them who sang we are family
