  • Honestly you kind of sound like a feminist who has just set up this question in a dishonest way to try and turn people to feminism. Everyone knows the feminism movement's not about equality, that's why people who belive in equality are running from it

    • The definition of feminism means equal rights for men and women. Anyone who doesn’t believe that is not a feminist. Even if they call themselves one.

      • The official government of North Korea is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, anyone who doesn't support them doesn't believe in democracy. Feminism is dead because the feminist's killed what it once stood for, it's why you're having to resort to tactics like this to get support, it's also why you're fine with resorting to tactics like this, the movement is underhanded and twisted.

        • Horrible comparisons. One thing is a country, the other is an idea/movement. Try again, cowboy.

        • What? I literally believe in everything that the movement once was. There are still reasonable feminists, and I’m one of them. All I was saying is that anyone who calls themselves a feminist but doesn’t believe in equality is not a real feminist.
A misandrist minority have given the whole movement a bad name. Most feminists are not like that.

          • Oh sorry, I thought you were OP for a minute. From what I've seen those who push the movement's policies are generally just anti-men and delusional. I've met reasonable feminists, I agree with you wholeheartedly that they do exist, however I think they're in the wrong movement. Most of the reasonable people who truly care about equality have gone over to egalitarianism. I shit you not, they still go on about things like the wage gap, which can be damn easily explained if you actually look into the factors of why it's there. They also just push complete bullshit like "toxic masculinity" and "rape culture." I do agree with you though on the fact there feminists who aren't delusional enough to buy into that crap or generally push for bullshit policies.

              • Thanks :) luckily the large majority of people realize it's super twisted and hypocritical at this point so that's something.

            • Rape culture and toxic masculinity are a problem though.
Just go to any school and boys will openly display their disdain of any other boys who show “weak” emotions. Rape jokes are also common and uncorrected by teachers.
This behavior at happens at work places, in public, on buses, and families even teach it to their children by telling boys to “be a man” and “toughen up”.
Then there’s blatant forms of rape culture, like rape and sexual harassment.

              • Okay, I think I get your point in regards to toxic masculinity so let's focus on toxic masculinity. The presupposition that men are unnaturally taught to be masculine and "be a man" or "toughen up" or that it's something men shouldn't do is off. The displays like sucking up pain, pushing yourself really hard in a physical task, or not balling your eyes out around your friends is as natural as cats hunting to us men. We're talking about tens of thousands of years of evolution; if your tribe had weak men then your tribe got massacred and the women and children got enslaved. Weak men fell prey to stronger ones throughout pretty much off of humanity's history. You're essentially telling men to go against their biology when you're saying it's alright to be a pussy if you've got hurt, or to over emotional about something or talk about how you're feeling to a large extent. We just won't do it unless we're forced to like the feminists are trying to make us, and we don't like doing it or accepting it, it's off, it's just straight wrong for us.
