Is it normal that i think previous generations were much more sex crazed?

I am a 22 year old male. I have friends that are up to 35, as well as younger friends. And well, as the title says, I just notice that older people seem to have such an extreme sexual behavior.

For instance, none of my friends would ever even think about going to a strip club regularly or have sex with a prostitute. However, older people often share stories in those situations. I work as a journalist now too, and my older colleagues always tell me how on business trips the hosts always had prostitutes ready for them.

Another thing, having female friends is 100% normal in my generation. However, whenever my older friends see me with a girl, they are always like: "so, how's that babe in bed?" *thrusting motion*... While younger people would usually be much more careful with these statements. Personally, I also hate when I'm talking about a female from my job or university, regarding serious issues, and then the first question that comes with older people is "is she hot?".

I happen to travel a lot as well, and my younger friends actually ask me what have I seen, museums, landscapes, etc... while the older ones always ask first how many girls I "banged"... while making thrusting motions.

Anyway, I'm just suddenly perplexed by this situation. Even my own father is making these types of statements lately and it disturbs me profoundly. So, what do you think people? What's your experience in this matter?

  • Our generation knows that women are not sexual objects to be used.

  • I think it's because people become like that as they get older. It happened to me, and it will happen to you too. Time makes creepers of us all, just wait and see.

  • You don't suppose it could just be your circle of friends?

  • Your generation of males has been somewhat pussified by social input. Your masculinity has been dulled to be androgynous, but heavier on the female outlook rather than the male outlook of your dad, and his dad. Basically you've been mentally castrated so women can feel equal.

The pity is that women of your generation, are wondering where all the males, like your dad and those before, have gone.

  • It's normal. When I was in college one of my father's friends always used to ask me if I had a girlfriend yet.
