Yes, I think you have a point. I think it's especially weird in the USA where the conservatives are very prude but at the same time think everyone should have some guns.
I am a christian myself and although I think I'm relatively open minded towards sex in general I am very conservative when it comes to my own sex life (if you can even call it that). But at the same time I'm an absolute pacifist, so at least I'm consistent.
