Is it normal that i think modern japanese pop-culture is cancer?

I can't stand anything about Japanese pop-culture. It's cheesy and immature. It gives off the impression that Japan is just one huge kindergarten. Could this be the result of America dropping 2 atomic bombs over them? I have no idea.

I think you got a wrong idea about Japan if you think mangas define their culture.

The Japanese people are kind and considerate, and their creativity is fantastic—but their culture is crap. Still, it's important to realize just how much of an impact their shows, videogames and cars have on the US.

Compare them to another island nation like Great Britain, who gives us...Cadbury eggs.

    Agree with BlackCatsAreAwesome.
The Japanese are amazing. They're also very messed up.
Regarding creativity, they are very good at what they do. But their values and work-ethics pretty much despises "Individualism", which is probably why their "pop-culture" isn't exactly defined, or, not cancer-ish.

Take a look at the more independent Japanese.
