You dont notice how humans act like ants at all? Ants go to war with eachother all the time. Conquer territory and expand. Since ants are the most numerous insect species what would happen if that kind of social structure was applied to a mammal thus supporting an even larger ability to retain knowlage? Humans.

Humans are generally good imitators... Parasites tend to live off the efforts of others.
Yes, there is a noticeable portion of the human race - in all cultures - that act in a noticeably parasitic fashion.
