Is it normal that i support eugenics?

I think we should let natural selection do its thing and stop getting in the way. People who are severely disabled often can not contribute anything to society and are generally an inconvenience to all those around them. So why bother keeping them alive when it isn’t achieving anything?

Children that are born severely disabled should just be shot at birth or left to die.

Well if this were common practice we wouldn't get to read your disturbing post.

  • So if you become severely disabled in a car wreck or whatever don't forget to ask your family to kill you.

      • That's strange. About a month ago someone started writing a bunch of posts sounding like something a psychopath would write. Hmm.

To be honest I support eugenics as well.

Before anyone gets mad, I don't think we should actually do this. But part of me wonders if severly mentally disabled people WISH they were dead. A lot of times they can't say so and if they did say so verbally we can't be confident in that because they are mentally impaired. So we would never know for sure so when in doubt don't do a lethal injection. But part of me does wonder if we may be doing some of them a service. Thats enough thinking about this cold shit for now lol.

That's true and understandable it's hard to know what they are thinking it could be a lot of things sadly they can't explain it or they are unable to understand it.

I'm not even a fan of children and I wouldn't want to see them killed.

    • It is when there’s no chance of them achieving anything or living an independent life. I know I wouldn’t want a child that could never make me proud.

Just because a person’s life experience is different from yours doesn’t mean it’s less than yours. A person is a person.

You probably shouldn't have children then.

But should severely retarded people be sterilized, or should they be allowed to have more severely retarded children? (please refrain from the sadistic humor of chopping off cocks if you can.).

I don't think severely retarded people should be having children, but I'm not saying that they should be sterilized either.

            Good question though.

Yes, it raises difficult issues. Perhaps these people who lick bus windows could agree to sterilization in exchange for subsidized medical care.

Seeing how I would be dead if that was the case I'm going to have to decline that statement. Then again the condition did make me infertile so maybe if the condition also cause sterility it gets a pass.

I will be honest with you I'm not against the idea of eugenics but it's still kinda cruel I'm not for killing children. I don't think humanity can even be trusted with the task because it will change from getting rid of the disabled to getting rid of those who are considered undesirable. Humanity has a long way to go rather then kill the disabled why not find a way to fix their condition sounds hard and may take a long time but it's better then just killing them. Now I'm not agianst euthanasia because sometimes you have to put those who are suffering out of their misery when it's clear that they will never pull through and are clearly in pain.

That's not eugenics; that's letting nature do its work. Even with eugenics, you can do it ethically. Just pay women to get pregnant with genius' sperm and you're sorted. The West has had dysgenics since the 90s some studies put it as beginning as far back as the 70s.

There's only so much you can burden the backs of the strong with before they break, and bring the system down with them.

People with severe mental and physical disabilities have helped advance technology. Just because they cant physically contribute themselves doesnt mean they cant be helpful to society.

To be fair he was normal until his 20s then got progressively worse. I think you could make an argument if you were bound in a wheelchair and speaking using a retina tracker by 4 yo.

I mean just because it exists to help doesnt mean weeding out some people who need it when the are born isnt unnecessary.

Maybe society could stand to weed out a few, but I believe that if we stop trying for one, we will eventually stop trying for all.

I'm a strong believer in eugenics myself, but not this kind of eugenics. I think anyone with any severe inheritable disabilities should be prevented from having children, but killing people is unnecessary. All you have to do is prevent them from having children, and therefore prevent them from passing on their genes.

The reason we want to prevent people from ever having those kind of disabilities is because we care about those people, so killing them is just contradictory. People who fight for the right for disabled people to pass on their genes are against compassion, that's the whole point of eugenics.

I think this is a dangerous idea. The killing of any group of people should never be rationalized. If this were legalized, it would be difficult to know where to stop.
