Is it normal that i prefer vhs tapes over dvd?

I (like many of you) grew up with VHS tapes, and I still love them, I have a giant collection and a VCR that I watch them on every day. it's become an obsession, collecting VHS tapes, especially rare ones. (which I have a lot of) vhs tapes are so much better than dvd's. dvd gets warped, scratched, smudged, dirty, and can easily break in half. vhs picks up where you left off, is tougher than dvd, and is overall better.

    The quality though.
If you take proper care of DVDs they don't get scratched or warped.

I prefer DVDs as they take up less space, the picture quality is better and they don't need rewinding as VHS tapes do. I take great care when handling my DVDs so they will probably last for years.

VHS tapes will degrade over time if watched multiple times. The pic quality of DVD is superior as is the sound. What are you going to do when VHS player packs it in? VHS players are getting as scarce as hens teeth.

I've never watched any film twice. I've no need to own any of either medium.

Some movies you can only find on VHS.
