I'm a 21 year old woman and I hold the door open for men. I hold it open for everyone, but they seem more surprised and thankful since it isn't expected. Chivalry is not dead!

It's normal. I'm pretty sure it's common courtesy to open doors for anyone regardless of gender. Though I remember back when I was going on dates with guys from a dating website, I'd open the doors for them and they'd be surprised too.
