Is it normal that i never get covid?

My brother currently has covid for the second time with symptoms. Not once have I tested positive or had any symptoms. We live in the same household and are close, so it makes no sense why I never caught it. Is this normal? Isn't it supposed to be highly contagious?

  • Some people are naturally resistant to it. Immune systems are weird.

    • Fun fact. If your ancestor survived the black plague theres a good chance you have a resistance to HIV.

      Because science I guess

  • I've never officially had it either. I got sick for an entire month with the flu last year which could've been covid but I didn't really have the classic symptoms so it was more likely a pretty persistant flu. My covid test was negative and I took 2 of them. Some of us have been lucky I guess. My brother also had it once and lost sense of smell for months afterwards.

  • I'm the same way. The one time I thought I had it, my PCR test came back negative.

A good chunk of my co-workers had it, my parents did, my boyfriend's friends, his parents had it, and customers at work had it. I'm constantly exposed to it yet I cannot seem to catch it. XD

    • Damn, you had to get tested for illegal drugs?

    • Same here! Everyone around me seems to get it but not me 🤷🏻‍♂️ I'm a little scared that my time will come but I hope not.

  • I have not got tested but once and have not gotten sick or any signs of covid since it became a pandemic, now that's strange. I'm not vaccinated for anything and I'm good maybe it's just because I miss it

  • Bruh I worked with the public the entire pandemic and didn't get COVID. My homie in the urn under my TV isolated the entire pandemic and got COVID. That's why he's in the urn (in case you didn't guess). My roommates got COVID. I was regularly exposed to it.

But I was also a healthy 29 year old who spent many years in close quarters with adults from all over the world and an athletic chain smoker. I feel very lucky that I didn't get it.
