Is it normal that i'm in the bathroom so long that my feet fall asleep?
It doesn't always happen but when I need to defecate, my feet tend to fall asleep. Most of the time it's one of my feet but they both had fallen asleep before.

You are probably going to get hemorrhoids and varicose veins in your lower extremities if you don't fix this.
Drink plenty of water, eat a lot of fiber and get a step stool/ledge to put your feet up on while you are on the toilet. It puts your body in a proper alignment for pooping and takes the pressure off your veins. They sell one called the Squatty Potty or you could just find a box or step or something you might have around the house that would do the job.
My feet fall asleep too, and there are a lot of variables that can go into this that aren't your fault- your height, the height of your toilet, the toilet seat shape, your shape, and your natural circulation.
I hardly ever had this problem before I moved to my new apartment, but the toilet seat here has an upward bend and it puts a slight pressure on the backs of my thighs, and my legs will go numb in 30-45sec. You can try changing your seat, or even installing a toilet at a different height, or you could just deal with it. It won't really cause any long term damage.
If you don't get this taken care of, you might end up with not only painful hemorrhoids (which never truly heal because they're varicose veins), but also possibly anal fissures.
PLEASE get this taken care of!
I had similar problems and recently I've been to urgent care twice because my asshole has hurt so much!
Besides getting 30 grams of fiber daily, plus lots of water and the squatty potty, you can take a warm bath for 20 minutes daily to promote healing.
Look up anal fissures to see what you don't want. It's terrible!
I appreciate the advice everyone. Thanks. The good thing is that I'm not always constipated.
It happens to me too. Despite what everyone says, I think the reason it happens (at least for me) is because I am sitting on the seat without the weight evenly distributed across my cheeks/the sides. I've only had one leg/foot fall asleep, not both. And it's usually when I'm sitting on the toilet for a while... probably distracted by something I'm doing on my phone. Just shift your weight around and keep your feet moving and blood circulating if you find it to be a constant issue. I don't think it's from pushing too hard or constipation or anything like that!!! It's a circulation issue, you're cutting off circulation somehow on the toilet to one or both of your legs/feet. Hope this helps!
Are you on the loo for long periods of time, ie more than a few minutes? Definitely as the first post says, get more fibre in your diet.
If you are having this much trouble going to the toilet then you need to do something about it before it becomes a major problem. You don't want to end up later in your life in a situation where you can never take a poo without getting blood in it.
You need to increase your fibre intake, make sure you drink enough water but at the same time don't over do the water either and get more fruit and veggies. There is reasons we are told to eat healthy and this is one of the many reasons.
A lot of people are constipated and don't know it. I hear some people say they don't poop every day well that is not good as I have heard both men and women should be pooing 3 times every day. That both men and women should poo not long after each meal.
