Is it normal that i'm afraid of aboriginals?

I live in Australia and I try my best to avoid aboriginals because they make me feel uncomfortable. Is it normal that I feel threatened by their behavior? Most are loud and just insanely rude.

  • Why are the indigenous people of Australia called aboriginals, and why is the term not used outside of Australia?

    • Some historical reason I'm sure.

Why do we still call american natives Indians? Reason: the name stuck.

      • Really? The part of the country I'm in has largely adopted the term Native American. Not because the term Indian is racist, just that it's completely incorrect

        • My part its interchangeably. We know indian is wrong but native American is longer. If we had actual indian people around we would probably use it more.

  • They look freaky, not gonna lie. I had a taxi driver once that was aboriginal. Not someone you'd wanna meet in a dark alley, that's for sure.

  • They are savages. Sure they might have some interesting culture peculiarities. But when that starts to clash with the ethics of their neighbors not much you can do besides tolerate or obliterate.

  • Is it true that they get treated with kid gloves by the police?

I had an Aussie friend who crashed round mine, and he said that one was waving a machete around and when the police turned up, realising it was an abo, they just took the machete off him and let him go about his day.

    • Its in their culture to rape their own kids. Then the libs get in a frenzy because the abos are over represented in government investigations into child abuse.
