Is it normal that i like a guy who's older and treats me like his little sister

He is five years older than me, I have liked him for a bit over a year, and he knows I do, I told him, and he doesn't seem to like me, but I'm horrible at noticing things like that. He always calls me his 'little sister' even though we aren't related in any way. I have been trying to get over him, but it's not happening... what should I do? And is it normal for me to be so 'crazy' about him?

Is It Normal?

  • little sister is code for I'm not attracted to you. This happened to me a few years ago and when I heard "she's like a little sis" I knew I had to move on. It's like a slap in the face!

    • If I called a girl "little sister" it most certainly would not imply what you said it would.

  • Considering all the incest stories on this site, I see nothing wrong here. Proceed.

  • Little sister is code for "Our love is forbidden and it makes me so hot for you I want to fuck the shit out of your vagina so hard my dick breaks off inside you and we have to get a coat hanger to fish it out of there. Also, do you know what Mom's making for dinner?"

  • You clearly don't know much about the Japanese culture and the key word "Little Sister" xD

  • Welcome to my world. I have perfected the art of getting myself in the " Friend" or " Big Brother" category and it sucks.

There is this Woman that I have fallen for, and have been this way for over 2 years. It sucks, no matter what I do I am stuck in that BS category of best friend.

Even though I have dated and been with other woman, every time she calls those emotions seem to come back with a vengeance.

It has come time for me and I recommend you as well to completely cut our selves off from our " Love me nots" by not talking or hanging out with them. We should let time take its course in the healing aspect and move on.

  • The age difference may matter a lot.

I mean at my age 5 years is nothing, but if you're under 20, 5 years can mean a big difference in physical and mental maturity... not to mention legality.

I would say, if he's 5 years older than you, wait until you're 18. But by then (depending on your age now), that may be a bit of a wait... and you may have lost interest.

If you're over 18, I would recommend distancing yourself from him. pining after a man who doesn't want you is like throwing money into the toilet. You get nothing back except unhappiness.

  • I'd totally bend you over the couch if I was in his shoes.

  • Sounds like you've been "friend zoned"

  • I don't know, because I have this friend who I've known since I was 3 and he was 4. Now, hes like hot and cold with me. One day he told me that he's always had a secret crush on me. Then he went from saying that to saying that Im like a little sister to him, and now, just a month ago he was texting me again saying how he wants to 'do stuff', if you know what I mean. I declined. Now, hes ignoring me. It'll probably last for another month, and then he'll text me again. Its like a cycle. He does this all the time.

  • I knew a girl that had the "little sister" complex for me one time. I think it is normal.
