    Waiters do that on purpose to annoy the customers because they have nothing better to do. Thats why they're called waiters

      Actually it's not just that...
      I work as a busser and I am supposed to go around and help people and such and take their plates Ect... so I am similar to a waiter in a way..
      I have had a person or two get mad at me for asking for their plates but I mean, My boss literally yells at me if I'm not constantly walking and taking plates n' such, and My boss is the one paying me so...
