Is it normal that i hate smaller dogs, but not bigger ones?

Man, fuck small dogs such as chihuahuas. They're pathetic and only bred for their appearance. Not to mention, they all seem to lack manners compared to bigger dogs. I'm not sure but it could be because of 2 things. Either they're trying to compensate for their patheticness by trying to be tough, or people who buy these kind of dogs are morons who seem to believe they don't need to raise them because they can't do any harm nevertheless. No matter what the cause may be, I think they suck compared to bigger dogs.

I find small hyper dogs very annoying. I like big dogs better, too.

The problem with a lot of small dogs is the owner, not the dog. How many small dog owners have you seen pick up their dog when it's doing something it shouldn't? In other words, rewarding it.

I reckon lots of people get small dogs because they think they're less trouble than big dogs but then don't bother to train them in any way. It puzzles me that it's possible to train most medium to large dogs not to bark incessantly but small dog owners don't seem to bother even trying to train their little dogs from yapping.

I don't like 'em either unless they have a big dog personality. Not shivering out of fear or yelping constantly.

I see what you mean. Small dogs tend to have worse temperaments.

It usually depends on how they're trained. Even though different breeds have different temperaments most of them can be really cool if they have owners who actually knows something about proper training. I always blame the owner for a dogs behaviour, not the dog itself and I think that many people who get very small dogs like chihauhaus do so because they want a dog that doesn't require a lot of activity (which means they'll probably skip training too) as well as because they are a cute accessory.

Unfortunately many people who got dogs aren't qualified to be dog owners.

Yes. What you have to remember is that these animals are pathetic and tiny, but in their mind they are a fierce and wild wolf roaming through the woods in a big pack.

They are frustrated at their inability to do the things they want to, and they yap all the time to try and prove their worth. It's really very cruel to breed dogs like that.

Totally normal! I actually agree for the most part, although I do own a small dog. He is a 12lb jack russell terrier/corgi mix. He was aggressive, had no manners, and knew nothing when I first adopted him back in 2014. Now he has AMAZING manners, knows tons of tricks, and is more trained than most big and small dogs I see out! Small dogs are totally capable of being trained/having manners.. But the owners a lot of times are fucking dumb and don't train their small dogs since "They can't do any harm".. Which I do not at all agree with. But yeah, pretty much I totally agree with you! Most small dogs are horrid, but its only because of the owners.
