Yeah it's normal. There are a couple rap songs I really love though, but that's next to the 99% of other rap songs I've heard that I think are just terrible. Plus I then later found out that all those rap songs I love all took their beat from other songs anyway, and their catchy beat was the main reason I loved them (I didn't know back then that that's how rap music is made).
If you actually do mean it literally when you say it makes you puke though then that's definitely not normal.
