    I can understand if they are trying to shit down your throat. I just give my opinions and I'll hear yours and then we can discuss the fine issues, maybe I learn something maybe they learn something.

    Nothing wrong with discussing politics as it is literally how we conduct ourselves on the micro and macro level.

      its the same tired shit over & over & over

      and whoevers the better debater or can rattle off relevant soundin statistics more believably is somehow 'right' while the opponent is 'wrong'

      but none of it has fuckall to do with reality

      and even if it did none of has any real world effect

      nothin changes and nobodys gonna magically give up beliefs causea random arguments

        Well politics has something to do with your life. Yes mostly it boils down to local politics but it's your civil duty to at least have an idea of what's going on nationally, if at least knowing which states are better for you or ones to avoid.

        I would very much like to hear an honest opinion about bidens policies from someone who voted for him.

        Probably nothing will change but probably wont stop me from trying.

      Just because most of them are assholes doesnt diminish the actual benefit of discussing politics.

      Better to discuss problems than to suddenly need to go to war with your neighbors because they crossed the line without you knowing about it.

    Yeah they certainly can be annoying.
    I went to school with this guy who never said a word and was barely noticable, tall skinny guy who just sat around looking at everyone in a kind of intimidating manner UNTIL someone near him happened to say a word about politics. Then he would passionately and agressively argue about it and it was insufferable. That's most political people in my mind. They love to argue more than anything else.

      I love to argue. It's how people solve problems. Or for myself it's how I intellectually gorge my intrigue. Gain perspectives, learn about the outside world. Just so happens that there are so many ill informed people out there that have no idea what's happening on the small and big picture.

      I perfer to know if a shitstorm is coming rather than hit me when my pants are down.

    I think everyone old enough to understand politics would have some political opinions, and actually you should care a bit what happens to your country, its not like you're free from the effect of it. But I get that it's bad if they are absolutely obsessed. Especially if they're the type who cannot tolerate anyone with opposing views (that's different from just disagreeing) and think they must automatically be bad or stupid people. People on both sides usually have some valid arguments for what they believe
