Is it normal that i hate it when guests stay over?

Relatives are also included. I hate having extra people in the house.

It's crowded enough already, and it feels restrictive and smothering when they're here.

Totally normal to get fed up with house-guests after a couple days. Your feelings are completely understandable, particularly if your place already feels small.

We have had people stay with us for a week or more, but that's only worked because we have self-contained guest accommodation. We spend time with them during the day, then they leave us in peace and go to their own space when it's time to go to bed.

An old custom was, if you invited someone into your tent as a guest (you would have to offer them a bread, salt or coffee) they could stay as your guest for three days. If you asked him to leave before that you would be a bad host. On the other hand if he stayed past three days, he would be a bad guest. In some cases he would be thought of as a thief.

  • I'm like you. I don't mind having people over, but don't enjoy them spending more than a day at my house.

Completely agree. I have an old college friend who visits, and, while it's fun for a night or so, by the end of the weekend, I'm begging for him to leave. Selfish, inconsiderate, and not a homeowner, so, doesn't care what he does or how he leaves things. Same with pets. Last time, he plunked himself down onto my couch after we'd been out, and right onto one of my older felines. I had to tell him..Get the fuck up.

About the only person I'm ok with visiting me is my hot older sister, b/c we get along well and also mess around. She visits to get away from her own stresses, knowing can be relaxed (and often, naked) at my house. and having her around is a pleasure. Other than her, really..I can do without visitors.

Benjamin Franklin said, "Guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days."

Lots of things have changed since his time, but the fundamentals of human nature haven't.

Ben had older sisters, but history does not record if they were hot.

    • I've seen you before; it seems like every chance you get, you talk about your hot older sister.

Just once in a while, when it's pertinent..This was mostly about my annoying as hell, inconsiderate friend when he visits. One night and the next day, fine..After that, I want his ass in his car and driving far away..One three-day weekend, on Sunday morning, he asked what my game plan was for Monday..Told him I'm working, since I work for myself. No way I was having him visit 3 days in a row. I'd have killed him.

I hate that! No privacy what so ever! Gotta masturbate in the shower like an animal!

I like to do what I want, how I want, when I want but sometimes it's nice to have company.
