Hey, I'm a metal fan and I think that's stereotyping! While metal is my favorite music, I also like rock blues and electro(no vocals). Maybe you've just heard the stereotypical metallic style thrash metal, try listening to songs like the trooper and hallowed be thy name and run to the hills by iron maiden, paranoid , faeries wear boots and electric funeral by black sabbath, and holy wars and symphony of destruction by megadeth! These are all great songs and listen to the lyrics, you will see why metal in my opinion has some of the best lyrics ever!
