I think people should base their views on actual thinking and a mixture of facts/logic and compassion, case by case. Not whatever "group" they happen to belong to
Also with the horrible living conditions they tend to have there I can totally see why the west is seen as better. At least most people tend to have their basic needs met and more personal freedom and rights. Its far from perfect but I still think its relatively better
Why not if our culture is better than theirs? If people are willingly accepting of western culture why disparage them for leaving their old culture behind?

Yes, at this point in time, the west has better living conditions. However i mean they despise their culture etc and long for western culture instead

I guess that can be bad if they are giving up on something that was actually good or nice about their own culture
