Is it normal that i find this unattractive?

I’m a girl and I find it really unattractive when guys cringe at violent movies or when they’re scared/disturbed by blood and gore. To me, that just seems wimpy and girly. I’m not bothered by those things at all and I can’t stand it when guys are.

That's a sexist way of thinking. Not liking violence or horror isn't a "girl" thing. Men don't have to be hardasses and girls don't have to be fragile.

I'm a certified gore hound. Come hang with me. Not much else is attractive about me, but hey, I'll watch horror movies with you all day.

I'm the opposite. I think a guy who cringes at violence and gore is amazingly attractive

  • You want a "Man's man" who beats his chest, has a hairy back, lights his farts and eats pork rinds!

I don't see why you care. Its kind of an instinctive reaction for some.

I think context matters when it comes to Gore, if it serves a purpose for the story. Like a war movie

Like if its for gritty realism or something over the top for humor, like evil dead

But gore for the sake of just being gross and gory is kinda cringe to me more cause it takes me out of the movie

      Like Jeremy Saulnier‘s Green Room.

The graphic parts of that movie I enjoyed and was in line with the feel and plot of the story

Where a movie like “The Terrifier” started out oky to me, but eventually took me out for trying too hard to be gross and edgy

Or Human Centipede 2. If there was no gore we'd be watching 2 hrs of an ugly little man sitting in a booth at his job in a parking garage.

I wouldn't be able to sit thru it all.

Any movie that has a good story and is entertaining to watch is ok in my book. If it's gorey and violent - fine.
If it's not - still fine.

But if it's just over the top mindless gore and lame jumpscares for the sake of discount thrills, I'm not interested.
Or if it's a romantic comedy, or sappy love drama. I hate those.

But I kinda get what you mean. If a dude suggested a lame romcom, I'd definitely make a gay joke XD

I once saw a violent car movie.

They drove Herbie the love bug down the highway. Without any oil in the engine!

And this is why cars developed oil lights and oil gauges and they lived happily ever after XD

Now if only there was a way to stop teenage girls from putting the wrong fuel in...

My nieces on my ex's side, when they were real little, were one day playing "gas station".

You already know where this is headed...

Yep, they decided to put water in the gas tank of their mom's old mustang. That POS never ran to begin with though. You know when people plan to restore some "classic" and it sits there rusting away by the barn.

It's weird when people don't react to that shit.
