Young people see somebody pretty and wish they could be like that person because they like the feeling they get looking at them. The person is always very confident as part of their attractiveness. A young person can't see themseles that way. They focus on their own flaws and don't feel confident. They don't realize that they are their own cool person. The trick is to like yourself, valuing what you have and seeing it is unique. Other people probably admire something about them, although only being confident and at peace with themselves will make themselves truly attractive to people. It's a catch 22! And the person may flounder, all unhappy, until they are about 40. Then they wake up and see they were cool all the time! And they wish they could get the time back without wishing they were somebody else. Cruel but true.
