Is it normal that i feel tired enough after eating i need to lie down?

Quite often, I feel very tired after eating, and sometimes to the point I have to go for a lie down (not sleep! Not yet, anyway).

Could I have an issue with digestion or POTS or something else?

Is It Normal?

  • I eat like a bird. Anytime I eat too much I immediately regret it and get lazy as fuck to digest.

  • It's normal especially eat until you're really full or if you eat something that encourages the release of serotonin (turkey, etc.).

    What you could do to cut back on the sleepiness is eat until you're 80% full instead of 100%. I hear that's what people in Japan do

  • It can be a blood pressure thing. An auntie of mine used to only eat one meal a day, just before she went to bed, because she found eating at any other time would make her feel really tired and like she needed to lie down.
