Is it normal that i feel like i'm falling

Sometimes I'll randomly get this feeling like I'm falling through the floor, it really freaks me out.
Is this something that other people commonly experience?

    Anxiety or vertigo? I think vertigo is more a dizziness thing than a falling sensation.

    I'm assuming you're talking about when you're going about your day to day stuff, not that falling sensation when falling asleep?

      Yes it'll happen at random intervals during the day.
