I am really terrified over how kids born right now will end-up when they're adults, the effects all of this stuff, smartphones, social media, will have on them. Will they grow-up to become absolutely messed-up adults?
It's gonna be a generation full of people who identify as anime characters, furries and people who are so bored they are constantly looking for something to be offended by and cancelling each other until no one's gonna dare to ever say a word again in case they might offend someone.
I'd laugh at this, but the tragedy is, that you're probably right...
The whole PC culture, cancel everything that offends you, safe spaces and "be everything you want to be" is bullshit.
At some point in your life, you gotta be a responsible adult. Following your dreams is a wonderful thing, but those dreams have to be meaningful and realistic. No, you can't be a unicorn and no, you can't be a warrior princess. Having every pokemon and making your girlfriend dress like a catgirl is NOT a life goal.

Why would the children of specifically ppl attracted to everyone regardless of gender be "fucked up?" How would calling your parent "they" and "them" mess you up? Like honestly, from a psychology and trauma perspective. What do you think will happen to these children?
All those things are having a huge effect on people right now. Why do you think there's so much division and political polarization? And people generally being rude assholes and constantly looking for attention.
