Is it normal that i explain things that i already know to myself in my head?

Sometimes I'll do things like play out certain situations in my head, even ones that will probably never happen, just to see how I think it would go. When doing this I almost always get way off subject. For example, I'll be thinking up excuses to why I can't hang out with my friends on a Saturday night(I'm a bit of an introvert), but then I end up imagining myself explaining to them the plot of a movie(The Avengers, Titanic, etc.) or making up excuses of why it took me so long to finish the game Dishonored.

Is It Normal?

  • Seems not normal, but is so normal. If I didn't explain things to myself, I'd be really confused right now.

  • I always think, 'what would I do if'...
Mostly what I'd say if this or that situation occurred.
    Yep normal!
