  • If I went to talk to a rehab counselor there's absolutely 100% chance of them telling me I'm an alcoholic and drug addict and recommend detox and counseling. The whole thing is, they make money off every person they label an addict, therefore the threshold for what's considered problem behavior is well below where it actually starts to cause a problem for people. Long time ago I had one of these people tell me I should seek help because "it can't hurt to go and talk to somebody"

Rehab is a buisiness and wants as many customers as possible. Don't get me started on the cult that AA is.

It's your health, I hope you have health insurance, you'll need it. I can't stand addicts personally and don't view it as a disease.

      • See I don't understand that though. People are crappy because of some choice they make that doesn't affect you. How is sipping a little vodka throughout the day any worse than going out on the weekend and getting blasted fucked up?

        • There isn't a single person at any respectable job anywhere that "sips a little vodka throughout the day" that keeps that job or thinks this is normal. You have some sort of problem.

          • Maybe youve been working the wrong jobs. Sipping liquor not getting wasted isn't really hurting anybody, or affecting job performance
