  • Enjoy your boring miserable sobriety. I know people whove drank daily for years and never had an issue.

Better off to sip on liquor than go out binge drinking.

    • It's real advice. Just accept it. You are in denial friend

      • I live as I know how, and if I took advice from people named "sluts" I'd probably be in a less desireable situation. I'm not saying I don't have addiction issues that have been around for years so I'm denying nothing. If a little bit of alcohol and pot is the worst of it I'm doing okay, as I've learned through dealing with other shit.

        • If you didn't really care what people think you wouldn't make a post like this, so you clearly do and probably deep down think you have some sort of problem. You don't "know people who drank daily", you know real life alcoholics. You do have a problem. No one cares though, you could go jump off a bridge for all I care. Just another idiot in society in general who refuses to accept the truth when confronted with it.

          • If I went to talk to a rehab counselor there's absolutely 100% chance of them telling me I'm an alcoholic and drug addict and recommend detox and counseling. The whole thing is, they make money off every person they label an addict, therefore the threshold for what's considered problem behavior is well below where it actually starts to cause a problem for people. Long time ago I had one of these people tell me I should seek help because "it can't hurt to go and talk to somebody"

Rehab is a buisiness and wants as many customers as possible. Don't get me started on the cult that AA is.

            • I don't disagree with you at all and certainly see what you mean, but that isn't a reason to not bother with any sort of treatment or to not be honest with yourself about what you're doing to your own health. It's your health, I hope you have health insurance, you'll need it. I can't stand addicts personally and don't view it as a disease.

              • See I don't understand that though. People are crappy because of some choice they make that doesn't affect you. How is sipping a little vodka throughout the day any worse than going out on the weekend and getting blasted fucked up?
