Is it normal that i don't want my hair to be long anymore?

I'm 21 and I'm a female. Like many other girls, I had long hair for years. I got it cut recently though. But before I got it cut, it was halfway past my back. Now, my hair is buzzed on the sides and long on top. I just saw this style in a picture that I found in Google images and I decided to try it. I didn't even care if it was going to look good or not. It actually ended up looking good though. I fell in love with my short hair. If I would have known it was going to look this good, then I would have cut it short sooner. Having short hair feels better and is more comfortable. I haven't looked back ever since. I don't plan on letting my hair grow back out again (at least not for a long time).

I would keep it short too, especially if it makes you feel better. 7

    Uhm... I have trichophilia so this is basically a nightmare. I am a 21y guy. I don't know you or what you look like but hearing that you had hair halfway past your back and cut it off makes me want to cry.

        This curl business is all hype. Natural curls are inherited equally by the same number of boys as girls. There is no gender bias in nature. It's all marketing. Fuck mind manipulation by electronic media. Wear your hair however the fuck you want to. That's what I do.

    Nobody will really care (unless you're a politics-obsessed IIN user, apparently) what you do with your hair, so do whatever makes you feel better. Someone could walk by wearing a clown wig and I'd just think "Huh." and continue with my day. I'd like to think others share this sentiment.

      Sometimes it is political, but I don't see it here. It's not like she's talking about some "rejecting beauty norms and patriarchy!" she just prefers it short.

      Some of the most anti-feminist and anti-bullshit women I've seen have short hair.
