Iin, that i don't want an afterlife? that i want death to be the end?
Shows like "Ghost Hunters" and "Crossing Over" are popular these days. I've read that it is because people want to believe they are "immortal."
But at what cost? Why would anyone want to be a disembodied "spirit", blowing around like a fart in the wind for the rest of eternity? No more sex; no more beer; no more sports, or Harley Davidsons or ANYTHING except, just... "existing."
What's wrong with death just being an eternal dreamless sleep? Just like it was before you were born. BTW, spare me "accept Jesus (or Mohammed) or go to hell" crap, that's a Bronze Age goat herder superstition and doesn't deserve a second thought. I want feedback from intelligent, modern-thinking people who for whatever reason, would rather be a conscious "floaty" gas cloud/ghost than just be non-existent, and why do they think this way?
