Is it normal that i don't understand why people would want to live past 60s?

I don't understand why people would want to live to past their 60s. I mean, why would people want to have the higher risks of Alheizers, Blindness, Deafness, Senility, Arthritis, Joint Problems, Incontinence, and other health problems related to old age? Couldn't people accomplish everything they want to do before age 69? I'm not saying that people should kill themselves in their 60s I just don't understand why living 70+ years is so important to people. Personally, I want to live to be 60 (no older and no younger). Is it normal?

You can go blind or deaf, become mentally ill or die when you are 20 years old. You can also be healthy and happy at 80 years.
Risk really doesen't matter to an individual.

Also happiness isn't defined by health. Or at least it shouldn't be.

I won't even live past 40 so that's only 4 more years left.

Shitty life and nothing amazes me anymore except things I'll probably never get.

Sometimes it seems that too much emphasis is put on living to be as old as possible. Especially when it is reported as cause for alarm that your country is falling behind other countries when it comes to life expectancy.

Also, when you see medias report on some very old person having their 100-and-something birthday, it as though it is important in itself to get old. But aside from their reaching very old age, there is not always that much impressive about them.

The important thing should be to live well.

I think 60 is unnecessarily early, though. It is not as if the conditions you mentions begin at 60, and you can probably live healthily and well for longer than that.

If it was a choice between a higher risk of illness and instant death, I think most people would choose a higher risk of illness.
