A prime number is any number bigger than 1 that can't be made by multiplying other numbers.
So 11 is a prime because you can't make 11 by multiplying any whole numbers.
10 wouldn't be a prime because 5x2 = 10 ..
Technically you are correct but the way I prefer to think of it is that the only way to reach a prime number is by multiplying itself by one. for example, 13 x 1 =13
