Is it normal that i don't think people are born gay?

I don't think homosexuality is a gene, and I don't think people are born gay. I believe it's based in early childhood experiences.

    Does it really matter?

Then the same must be true of heterosexuality. Neither is true.

I strongly recommend doing copious amounts of research. Nothing on Wikipedia, yahoo answers or the like though. They're all easily forged.

you may not accept it, but this is true whether you like it or not.

It’s not a matter of being born “gay”. Gay is just a label. Obviously children do not understand sexuality or what being gay means however we are all attracted to either the same gender or the opposite or both from an early age and as you mature and develop you begin to understand what this means. Saying you are born gay does not mean there are gay babies. It just means that just as heterosexuality develops in an organic way so too does homosexuality.

Even if it was a choice, there’s nothing wrong with it and people have freedom to love who they want

I was iffy about the whole thing myself but both me and my identical twin sister like women. DNA wise and biologically we are obviously the same cell and we're both queer. That seems biological to me.

  • I don't think people are born gay either. I doubt there is such a thing as a gay baby. This is the reason why young children do NOT have sexual attraction at this early because they are not straight, bi, or gay yet.

What finally convinced the professional psychologist that at least some people are born homosexual and some are born heterosexual is that there are actual physical brain structure differences between people who have always felt hetro vs homo.

Then there is a group who's brain structure is between those 2 clear cases... and most of the homo vs hetro experimentation and people who are happy with both sexual experiences exist in that group. There is some evidence(rather small in size vs the population) that how a person(nurture) is raised may affect this middle group to some degree. Note that this evidence is fairly limited and only seems to apply to some. In general, the much larger evidence is that for most people how they are raised (nurture) does not affect their sexuality.

However, the brain structure differences are clearly evident between pure hetro's and pure homo's.

Of course, you can choose to believe what you will. You don't have to believe in gravity. That will not prevent gravity from plunging you to your death if you walk of a tall building or other suitably tall structure.

I think some are. Some guys are just suuuuper fucking gay. I do get where you're coming from though. There is almost certainly an element of nurture to it. Loads of peoples sexual attractions are brought about by their experiences. For instance, people who were diddled as kids are way more likely to diddle kids when they grow up.

What do you think causes them to be gay then, dude? Do you think they could just like pussy but they choose not to, or is it something else?

I think there's a gene involved, but the gene is just one factor - it doesn't determine you.

It's a possibility, we don't know for sure either way. It's not necessarily homophobic to think that. If you still think gay people are ok and you don't want to rid the world of gay people then it's fine.

I doubt it though, I'm sure we would have figured out the cause by now if it was. It certainly wouldn't be anything obvious or psychologically negative like homophobic people have tried ignorantly claiming (ignoring all the evidence to the contrary since they just want to force reality to fit their preconceived prejudice). Like, there are gay animals and I can't see how their childhoods could vary so much.

Obviously even if this was the case though, it wouldn't really make any difference anyway. There'd still be nothing wrong with being gay.

I wasnt gay then I saw my dads dick in the shower when I was 12 and ever since then I just czbt get penises off my mind.

But no in reality you are born gay straight whatever. The brain can be trained and rewired but sexuality is a hard one besides no one chooses to be a minority
