Is it normal that i don't think finland is a real country?

I recently read an article about how Finland couldn't be real because the earth is flat and it's just part of Sweden extended because if someone goes on a plane it will just be all woods and nobody notices. And on maps and google earth, they just alter it and place a boarder so that it'll appear that Finland is real. It also said that since Finnish sounds a lot like Japanese the Japanese probably made up a country called Finland so they could harpoon more whales. Now I've read a lot of articles about that and think that Finland is not a real country. Is this normal??

Let me give you some free advice: Read from reliable sources, not some random joke post you found on the web.

why don't you take a petition to take it off the map to Finland and ask Finns to sigh it? I'm pretty sure that it'll go over smoothly.

The first problem: the earth is an imperfect ball, not a flat surface.

The second problem: Finland is a real country and real people live there. You can either choose to live in ignorance, or except reality as it is.

And to answer your question, no it's not normal.

I choose to believe that you aren't real, and this question is just a random word-salad that gurgled up from a very disordered sub-basement of my mind.

    • As a Russian who did a month of their military term in Finland to "Mess around with the Nordics" this is true.
