  • Having no friends is much common than you think.

    "I don't want friends anyway, I'm more comfortable being alone."

    Saying stuff like this might be your coping mchanism to make yourself feel better for having no friends in real life. Back in highschool, I've no friends too and I convinced myself by saying stuff almost exactly like you did here as a way to convince myself everything was fine with having no friends to hang out with.

    When I was in college though, somehow I managed to make friends, even best friends. Then I realized, deep down I actually longed and desired to have sweet real life friendship just like others who are good at making friends. Not to mention, they're there to help through tough times(The truly genuine ones of course) which I would've troubled facing by myself.

    I felt like I was lying to myself for saying stuff like you said back in highschool. Being alone is great but there are times we human actually deep down crave for company like for once in a while.
