I have like 3 or 4 good friends that I hardly ever see. I generally prefer to do things alone but occasionally I'll meet up with one of them. I can go months or even years without seeing them but when we do see each other there's no awkwardness. Over the years I've just met people I happened to get along with, without actively trying to make friends.
