Is it normal that i don't know what my audience will like?

When I release a project that I don't spend much time on and where I'm sure it won't do well, everyone responds to it and love it? Almost all the time where I release something that I think my audience will love and go crazy over... they don't seem to like it or respond at all? I really don't understand how the projects I don't spend time on or really expect anything from do much much better?

  • Your raw intuitive talent might be better than your edited intelectualized work of art - or whatever it is you release.

  • Actually, quite normal.

I've known both artists and authors who were surprised by the reaction their work got (negative or positive).

Also, a number of artist and authors works were not major appreciated until many years later (and sometimes after death).

While its OK to consider what others say and suggest; my advice is to keep focuses on your dreams and concepts... and see where that takes you.

    I wish you the best,
