Is it normal that i don't fear death and am indifferent towards the idea?

I've never been frightened by death. I've have had multiple family members pass and have never been afraid of the thought of it.

Is It Normal?

  • I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of the methods of death. Sure, if the time comes and I just somehow phase into deadness out of nowhere and straight to the afterlife, then fine.

More than likely, though, it will be a heart attack or I get run over by a car or I get shot in the face. I kind of wonder if the people who say, out loud, that they don't fear death really understand what death involves.

  • I envy you then, because the thought of dying lingers on me more than anything else. I can never wipe away that thought, and it is a fearful one. The infinity of it. Infinity itself scares me, its such an overwhelming concept.

  • I think if you were facing imminent death, as a young person, you would quickly change your tune. At the very least, you should, if you are a sane and healthy individual, want more time.
Come back with a post on the subject, right after you have been diagnosed with an incurable disease or have walked away from a 20 car pile up on the freeway.

  • When I have done everything I'm life that is interesting; experienced and done it all, I will be indifferent to death like you are.
