Try the Happyland sets? You can use the characters to do Trump role play and it doesn't always have to be immoral!
Alternatively, how about occasional playdates? DS loves having a friend over to play so he can run around being a fireman or whatever. Actually I find it is less work than when I just have my own 2 as they amuse each other so much more. If the other Mum comes too then you get a chance for gossip - and if she is a friend then she may watch them for 15 minutes while you get some chores done - as long as you do the same for her next time!
