Is it normal that i crave stuff i had as a kid when sick?

So, I've been feeling sick. Fatigued. Achy and in pain. Usually when I feel bad I do what people do when they feel bad; rest and soup.

For some reason I'm craving grilled cheese sandwiches and old cartoons that come on boomerang. I use to eat grilled cheese sandwiches and watched old toons when I was a kid visiting my great-grandmother.

when I am ill I want Poached egg on toast, I know that when my wife is ill she wants soft boiled eggs and soldiers.
Both comfort food from when young, amazingly they are almost the same.

I'm really young and I feel extremely nostalgic for things that happened a couple years ago. It's completely normal. It sucks you can't even experience those things again.

  • I should point out, I don't eat grilled cheese anymore because I'm lactose intolerant and hardly ever watch boomerang since it changed.

cheese has no lactose sugar , the bacteria that turn milk to cheese use it as food. its gone . bread has gluten , it can irritate the gut and cause diarrhea and cancers. thank god i found out , now i can eat ice cream and milk just not cones and pancakes.

      • I have to no problem with gluten. The cheese that's grilled for grilled cheese sandwiches that my great-grandma use to make were those ones that are slimy and come in a single plastic package.

          • I don't buy the stuff I eat. Suffer from severe social anxiety so buying stuff and having a job is not in my life.
